With a 4x6 photograph as a guide, I recreated this pencil drawing to be 16x24. The highlights throughout the drawing were created with an eraser, while 4B and 6B pencils were used for the shadows.

I was very happy with the outcome of the shadows and highlights on the face, though the hard pencil edges for the hair and tassles on the blouse gave the image a cartoon feel I wasn't satisfied with.
